Stump Removal and Grinding

Have you had a tree felled?

Our tree surgeons offer two main solutions to the stump left behind after a tree has been felled – stump grinding and stump removal.

Tree stump grinding

Our arborists use a specialised stump grinding machine to crush the tree stump into small woodchips. This is the most efficient method of stump removal and causes the least disturbance.

Tree stump removal

Our arborists can also remove the stump by digging it out of the ground (which removes the roots too). This is sometimes preferable on building and development sites. For customers who wish to keep the tree stump in situ, a chemical can be applied to stop re-growth from the stump.
